ASSOCIATION (COSA,i)
SERVICES
(For general
members benefit, available as/when resources permit):
I. Collect, assemble and distribute information from
appropriate sources focusing on
programs/therapies/treatments, etc. constructed to
improve the healing process of the mental/physical health
of the generalmembers;
II. Provide website bulletin boards and/or chat rooms to
enablegeneral members to tell their stories
(embarrassing or otherwise ???), to request input from
others regarding their specific concerns and to
communicate directly with each other to discuss shared
interests;
III. Setup procedures to encourage ongoing
general members participation with each
other through partnering and/or intra-personal
relationships to further contribute to the full plate of
support type assistance available from COSA,i to help
repair the a.e.'s critical to the hoped for
complete/partial recoveries of our individual
general members;
IV. Provide 'personal counseling/mentoring' for those
general members who submit a request (meeting
certain criteria) for this service;
V. Research various products and developments in the
marketplace and provide this information to the
general members using periodic additions to
these web pages. Pass along any discounts or special
incentives vendors may offer to promote their goods and
services;
VI. Establish relationships with other support groups and
associations, such as various Traumatic Brain Injury
Associations, Courage Center[s], Sister Kenny Institute
locations, etc, etc. And with manufacturers of different
types of equipment such as hyperbaric oxygen chambers
(used to provide oxygen treatments, hbot), CO/ fire/smoke
detectors, ventilation/heating controls, hygiene devices,
testing apparatus, etc,etc. And with service providers
such as poison control centers, hospital emergency rooms,
rescue squads and ambulance services, 911 phone banks and
media outlets (tv/radio/newspapers/magazines...). Pursue
all of the above as may be beneficial to the goals of
COSA,I;
VII. Work with the medical community infrastructure to
establish a higher awareness with them of the issues
important to us and to help us to improve the remedies
for the cognitive disorders and other problems we endure
as SURVIVORS of CARBON MONOXIDE EXPOSURES;
VIII. Provide ongoing liaison services and
recommendations/referrals, etc.in the future as
determined to be in the best interests of the
generalmembers, including potentially
available historically supported guidance and/or
testimony from various professionals as may be helpful to
thegeneral members from time to time;
IX. We are also hoping to
have an advocacy type help line for our general members
just as soon as we can put it together! We believe, by
chronicling the substantially reduced life styles some of
our members have been trying to deal with and by making
this information available to the various responsible
authorities, these people could receive fair treatment
from due process legal representation and accountability
could then be achieved on their behalf!
X. As soon as we have the
necessary cash flow we will offer an 800 phone number to
our general members!!!
XI. Identify by name and
location sources of financial or services assistance as
may be available from public agencies for those 'general'
members who can satisfy the applicable qualifying
criteria. Provide this information on a state by state
basis to the association members.
