MISSION STATEMENT OF THE
CARBON MONOXIDE SURVIVORS ASSOCIATION
(COSA,i)

We will do all we can to reach as many CO survivors as possible and bring them into our association.

We will collect information from outside sources and from ‘general’ members to use as the foundation for the different programs and therapies we will work to develop to help our ‘general’ members deal with the 'after effects' impacting their personal lives.

We will continue to gather supplemental information at regular intervals to upgrade the various programs and therapies our ‘general’ members will be using as individuals and/or in groups.

We will use our combined resources to direct the efforts of COSA,i so as to yield a level of improvement(s) in the lives of our ‘general’ members.

We will work hard to promote the positive concept -WE ARE SURVIVORS- striving to do better, both individually and collectively, in all of our pursuits to achieve a higher quality of life for ourselves and for all of those people around us!

AND, YES, IT WOULD BE 'EASY' TO CALL OURSELVES VICTIMS... But, we CANNOT and WILL NOT allow ourselves to flounder in a sea of self pity! Nor can we be constantly looking for easy answers to the very vexing issues we must deal with on a regular basis, every second, minute and hour of every day, week and month of every year, for the rest of our lives! We must instead face these issues using the combined strength of our association and the combined good will of each of us drawing support and encouragement from the fine people in our alliance to achieve goals common to us all and consistent with the best interests of us all!

The benchmark mission of COSA,i will be to work diligently to improve our ability to provide an ever increasing level of wellness for our ‘general’ members as the product of their active participation in developing,further refining and using the self-help oriented programs and therapies designed to reduce the negative impact of the various after effects we each have to deal with as the result of our individual exposures to CO.

BY WORKING TOGETHER, WE BELIEVE WE CAN GET BETTER!!!
